کے بارے میں
Raised in loving memory of a beloved father in the al Qassim town of al Bukayriyah, Masjid al Walid Muhammad al Turki (may God have mercy on him) belongs to a deeply moving Saudi tradition in which devoted sons and daughters endow a mosque in the name of their parents, hoping that the reward of every adhan, every prayer, and every recitation of the Qur'an offered within its walls will flow to the beloved soul for whom it was named. Al Bukayriyah lies in the fertile agricultural heartland of al Qassim, famous across Arabia for its dates, citrus orchards, grain fields, and long tradition of Qur'anic memorisation that fills every town and village with schools of huffaz.
Qassimi scholars have shaped the religious life of the Arabian Peninsula for centuries, producing respected judges, imams, and teachers whose students fanned across the Kingdom and beyond. To build a mosque in such a land is to plant a seed in exceptionally fertile ground, because the children of the town are likely to grow up memorising the Qur'an within its walls and eventually carrying its light onward as imams, teachers, and fathers themselves. The Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, taught that when a child of Adam dies, the deeds cease except for three, among which he named a continuing charity, and endowed mosques are perhaps the most beloved example of that continuing gift.
The building itself follows the honest Najdi aesthetic of the modern Qassim region. Smooth cream walls, a square minaret with arched apertures, a low central dome, and a courtyard shaded by date palms welcome worshippers five times daily. Inside, red and green patterned carpets cover the prayer hall, ceiling fans turn through the long summer heat, and a restrained mihrab carries Qur'anic calligraphy without excess ornament. Friday sermons often address family responsibilities, kindness to parents, and the dignity of honest work. Ramadan nights are marked by tarawih led by visiting huffaz, while Eid mornings fill the courtyard with children, dates, and fresh Arabic coffee. Daily prayer times for Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha at Masjid al Walid are published on this page for every resident of al Bukayriyah and every traveller across al Qassim.
