کے بارے میں
Bringing together worshippers across the surrounding area, جامع المرحوم الحاج علي الهادي;جامع اهل البيت welcomes worshippers throughout the day.. The plain of Nineveh stretches east of Mosul toward the Zagros foothills, encompassing towns and villages whose populations include Arab, Kurdish, Yazidi, Christian, and Turkmen communities whose cohabitation over centuries has produced a uniquely layered social fabric. Al Hamdaniya, also called Bakhdida or Qaraqosh in other linguistic traditions, has historically been a predominantly Assyrian Christian town, and the presence of masajid within the broader district reflects the ongoing diversity of the plain. The dedication to Ahl al Bayt, the household of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, expresses the devotion common across Iraqi Islamic culture to the Prophet's family including his grandson al Husayn, may God be pleased with him, whose martyrdom at Karbala is mourned annually by millions of Iraqis during Muharram. The dual dedication with al Hajj Ali al Hadi honours both a local benefactor whose pilgrimage to Makkah brought him the style al Hajj and the memory of Imam Ali al Hadi al Naqi, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, the tenth imam of the Prophet's lineage. Architecturally the masjid reflects Iraqi provincial idioms, cut stone and fired walls of brick finished in pale ochre, a central dome clad in turquoise tiles characteristic of Iraqi sacred architecture, a minaret capped by a small lantern, and an arcaded courtyard providing shade during the fierce Mesopotamian summers. Inside, The carpet throughout the hall is of deep green, the mihrab whose face carries Qur'anic verses with invocations of the Ahl al Bayt, and the mimbar of polished walnut. Daily prayers, Jumu'ah, and the ceremonies of Muharram fill the calendar. Ramadan iftars feature Iraqi specialities such as masgouf grilled fish, dolma, kleicha pastries, and strong cardamom coffee. Travellers exploring Mosul's rebuilt heritage, the ancient Assyrian ruins of Nineveh, or the shrines of Najaf and Karbala further south will find the plain a region of profound layered heritage.
The doors remain open well before and after each prayer, giving space for unhurried wudu, personal du'a, and quiet study. During school holidays, the community runs short sessions in Qur'an recitation and early Islamic history, designed for children yet open to parents hoping to revive their own study. Travellers who pause here remember a clean floor, a generous jug of drinking water by the door, and a noticeboard carrying the names of those who have died in the past month and will be remembered in the congregational du'a the coming Jumu'ah after the sermon ends.
