کے بارے میں

Situated along the coastal plain south of Beirut, the masjid of al Zahraa in the locality of Khalde gathers its worshippers within the Baabda district of Mount Lebanon governorate, an area whose green ridges, olive groves, and vineyards have long inspired poets and travellers. The name al Zahraa, meaning the radiant or the luminous, is one of the most cherished honorifics of Fatimah, the beloved daughter of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, and of Khadijah bint Khuwaylid, may God be pleased with her, whose patience, generosity, and devotion have inspired countless Muslim women across the centuries of the faith.

Khalde occupies a strategic position along the ancient coastal road that connected the Phoenician cities of Sidon and Byblos to the inland markets of Damascus. Archaeological remains from classical antiquity lie scattered beneath its modern streets, and the nearby hills once sheltered monasteries, hermitages, and village chapels of many confessions. Lebanon has always been a mosaic of communities, and the building of neighbourhood masjids such as this one across the central districts supports families who have settled here from the south, from the Beqaa, and from displaced villages seeking safety during difficult times.

The prayer hall follows a Levantine style that blends practical simplicity with tasteful ornament. Pale stone dressed walls, rounded arches above the windows, a carved wooden minbar, and a mihrab decorated with calligraphic verses of the Holy Qur'an together create a setting of quiet beauty. Jumu'ah draws students returning from the nearby Lebanese University, taxi drivers who spend their long shifts on the coastal highway, and families who gather after prayer for the midday meal of kibbeh, tabbouleh, and fresh bread from the neighbourhood bakery.

Accurate daily prayer times for Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha appear on this page for the mosque at Khalde, together with the precise street address within the Baabda district, a clear location map, and practical notes that help residents of Mount Lebanon, travellers along the coastal road, and first time guests find their way and share in the warm congregational worship offered here.
