Daily prayers are observed with quiet punctuality, the Jumu'ah sermon is delivered in Urdu with selected Arabic passages and Ramadan evenings bring tarawih sessions that move steadily through the thirty ajza over the twenty nine nights, concluding in the final laylatul qadr gatherings of reflection. Eid mornings draw rows of worshippers extending onto the lane outside, with vendors briefly setting aside their stalls of fried pakoras and rooh afza to join the takbirat. Visitors should dress modestly, remove shoes at the marble threshold and observe quiet during recitation.
