کے بارے میں
Within the rural district of Khondab in Markazi province of Iran, Masjid Imam Hasan alayhi al salam opens its doors alongside the Shahida Dehno Cultural Centre, offering the farmers and families of this quiet highland area a gathering place for worship, study, and the memory of those who gave their lives for the community. Khondab lies west of the city of Arak at an elevation of around two thousand metres, surrounded by barley fields, walnut groves, and the gentle slopes of the Markazi plateau that have been cultivated since the Medes ruled this part of the Iranian highlands. The mosque is named in honour of Imam Hasan ibn Ali (may God be pleased with him), the beloved elder grandson of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), celebrated by Muslim historians for his generosity, forbearance, and willingness to set aside worldly power for the sake of preserving the unity of the Muslim community. Combining the mosque with a centre dedicated to the unknown martyrs of the neighbourhood teaches every new generation that faith, sacrifice, and service to others belong together in one continuous story. Rural Iranian mosques share a recognisable simplicity. A single whitewashed prayer hall with a plain mihrab, a raised wooden minbar used for the Friday khutbah, kerosene heaters that warm the worshippers through long cold winters, and large patterned Persian carpets donated by local families create a welcoming atmosphere without unnecessary decoration. Outside, a modest tiled courtyard gathers children and elders after Maghrib, while mulberry trees planted along the boundary wall give dappled shade throughout the summer. On this page, up to date prayer times for Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha at Masjid Imam Hasan in Khondab, together with its address, a location map, and practical visitor notes, are offered to villagers, travellers through Markazi province, and relatives paying respects at the cultural centre. Khondab is known for its cold water springs that feed the small rivers flowing south toward Arak and for the patient craftsmanship of its carpet weavers whose looms stand in many houses across the district. Worshippers here often stop after prayer to drink tea sweetened with lumps of sugar held between the teeth, exchanging gentle news of harvests, weddings, and the quiet blessings of a simple village life.
