کے بارے میں

Within the town of Khondab in the Markazi Province of central Iran, Masjid Qamar Bani Hashim, the Moon of the Household of Hashim, honours the noble Abul Fadl al Abbas, son of Ali ibn Abi Talib, may God be pleased with them. Abul Fadl, born in Medina around the year twenty six after the hijra, was half brother of Imam Husayn and bore the epithet Qamar Bani Hashim for his radiant beauty and nobility. He stood with Husayn at Karbala on the tenth of Muharram in the year sixty one, bearing the standard of the noble camp and refusing water until the children of his brother could drink first, giving his life in defence of the family of the Messenger.

The Markazi Province, meaning simply the Central, lies in the heart of Iran, a region of dry plains, salt flats, and agricultural towns such as Arak, Saveh, and Khondab. The area has been shaped by generations of patient Iranian farmers whose wheat, apples, and saffron supply the wider country, and whose spiritual life centres on devotion to the noble household of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him and his family.

The Kanun e Farhangi Salehin, the Salehin Cultural Centre, is a common form of Iranian mosque affiliated community centre offering classes, youth programmes, and remembrance gatherings alongside the five daily prayers and Friday congregation. Taking the name Salehin, the righteous, invokes the Qur'anic description of those whom God has blessed among the prophets, the truthful, the martyrs, and the righteous, and sets before every young worshipper the aspiration to join that blessed company through sincere faith and noble character.

Architecturally, the mosque reflects the classical Iranian style of the central plateau. A turquoise tiled dome, a slender minaret inscribed with calligraphy in Nasta'liq script, a courtyard with a central fountain and pomegranate trees, and a carpeted prayer hall with calligraphic panels inviting the congregation to send salawat upon Muhammad and his blessed family. The present page lists accurate prayer times for Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha at Masjid Qamar Bani Hashim, along with the Khondab address and practical notes for visitors arriving from Arak, from the blessed shrine of Fatima al Ma'suma in Qom, or from the highway leading towards the ancient city of Hamadan. During Muharram the courtyard fills with black banners, soft Persian laments, and plates of sweet rosewater sholeh zard shared by neighbours. Every traveller exploring central Iran is warmly invited to step inside, to pray with the devoted Khondab congregation, and to send salawat upon the radiant moon of Hashim whose steadfast loyalty continues to shine across every believing heart of the ummah until the dawn of the promised final day.
