کے بارے میں

Amine Hatunlar Camii — 'the Mosque of the Ladies Āmina' — bears a remarkable name among Turkish mosques, referring either to several female benefactors of the name Āmina whose contributions the mosque commemorates, or, in a broader symbolic sense, to the beloved mother of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم, Sayyida Āmina bint Wahb, through whom the noble lineage of the Quraysh was transmitted to the Seal of the Prophets. Either way, the name places the mosque under the patronage of pious women, a gesture whose gentleness is itself a quiet affirmation of the role of women in the transmission of faith within the Turkish Muslim family. The Mamak mosque bearing this name is a neighbourhood structure of considered design, with a single minaret, a central dome, and a well-kept forecourt. Inside, the prayer hall is carpeted in warm tones, and the mihrab is carefully finished with Kütahya tile. The walls carry calligraphic panels of divine names and Qur'anic verses. The imam's Friday sermons often touch on the themes the mosque's name evokes — the rights of mothers, the dignity and contribution of women in Islamic history, the particular place of pious female benefactors in sustaining the devotional infrastructure of the Muslim community. The women's gallery is notably spacious and well-appointed, reflecting the mosque's attention to the needs of its female worshippers, and the women's Qur'an circles are especially active. Children attend Qur'an classes in the annex throughout the year. Ablution facilities are clean and heated. During Ramadan the mosque runs a full programme of tarawih and community iftars, many of the latter organised by the women of the congregation. The mosque's women's committee organises a particularly well-attended annual programme of lectures on the lives of the pious women of early Islam — Khadīja, Āʾisha, Fāṭima, Āmina — and the thoughtful attendance at these gatherings is itself a small demonstration that the religious imagination of the Turkish Muslim woman continues to be nourished by the example of her foremothers in the faith. For Muslim visitors to Mamak, Amine Hatunlar Camii is a welcoming and thoughtfully considered place to pray, and the name above its entrance is itself a small and beautiful tribute to the pious women whose hidden work has sustained the Muslim life of countless generations.
