کے بارے میں

Serving the devout community of Shazand in Markazi Province of central Iran, Masjid Chahardah Ma'sum, the Mosque of the Fourteen Infallibles (peace be upon them), also known as the cultural centre of the martyrs of Jalayer, is a neighbourhood house of worship and remembrance built around the love that Iranian Muslims have carried for the family of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, for more than a thousand years. Shazand lies on the plain between the Zagros and the central desert, in a region where grain farming, poultry raising, and small industries have long supported hardworking families, and where the winters are sharp and the summers generous with fruit, walnuts, and apples from nearby orchards.
The mosque's name gathers the Prophet, his beloved daughter Fatimah al Zahra (may God be pleased with her), and the twelve imams of the Prophet's household into a single act of remembrance. Each of these fourteen beloved figures, in the devotional memory of Iranian families, is associated with a particular virtue. The Prophet himself taught the completion of good character. Fatimah taught patience in hardship. Ali taught just judgement. Al Hasan taught forbearance. Al Husayn taught sacrifice. The remaining imams, from Ali ibn al Husayn Zayn al Abidin to the Mahdi (may God hasten his reappearance), taught prayer, jurisprudence, guardianship of knowledge, and hope.
The secondary name, a cultural centre for the martyrs of Jalayer, links the mosque to young men from the surrounding villages who gave their lives during the long Iran Iraq War of the 1980s, whose photographs often line a quiet memorial wall near the entrance hall. Iranian village mosques of this type typically feature plastered walls, coloured tile around the mihrab, ceiling fans turning through summer afternoons, and a covered courtyard where the community gathers on warm summer evenings for collective supplication. Friday prayers draw farmers and townspeople together, and the nights of Muharram fill the prayer hall with tearful recitation of the tragedy of Karbala. On this page you will find the current daily prayer times for Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha, updated to help every resident of Shazand and every traveller through Markazi province worship with quiet confidence in this beloved neighbourhood masjid.
