کے بارے میں
Within the Shazand district of Markazi Province in central Iran, the Imam Husayn, peace be upon him and his family, cultural centre and mosque named after the martyr Ali Nikpour offers the local congregation a place of worship, learning, and shared remembrance. The masjid takes its name from Imam Husayn ibn Ali, the beloved grandson of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, whose stand at Karbala in the year 680 has resonated through Islamic history as a lesson in truth, patience, and the refusal to accept injustice. Iranian communities have long honoured his memory through gatherings of majalis, recitation of elegies, and acts of charity offered in his name.
Shazand lies on the high plateau of central Iran, at an elevation of more than 1700 metres, in a landscape of grain fields, orchards, and distant snow capped mountains. The town gained wider recognition during the twentieth century for its oil refinery and for the nearby petrochemical industry, which drew workers and their families from across the country. Many of the cultural centres built during this period were named after local martyrs, including young men from the region who gave their lives during the difficult years of the Iran Iraq war, and Ali Nikpour is remembered here with deep respect and gratitude.
The architecture mixes traditional Iranian mosque elements with the simplicity of a cultural centre intended for daily use. A shallow dome rests above the prayer hall, blue and turquoise tiles decorate the mihrab, and the minaret at the entrance reminds passersby of the unity of worship and community life. During Muharram the building is draped in black banners, the courtyard fills with steaming pots of food prepared for the nadhr offering, and volunteers from the neighbourhood carry out hours of selfless service in honour of Imam Husayn.
On this page you will find accurate daily prayer times for the masjid along with its location in Shazand, a helpful map, and notes for residents of Markazi Province, travellers on the Tehran to Khorramabad road, and visitors to the cultural centre, so that every worshipper may attend Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha here in a calm and welcoming atmosphere through every season of the year.
