کے بارے میں
Dedicated to Imam Muhammad al Mahdi, may God hasten his honoured return, the Masjid Imam Zaman and its cultural centre Sahib al Zaman rise in the Shazand district of Markazi province in central Iran. The title Imam Zaman, the Imam of the Age, and the honorific Sahib al Zaman, the Lord of the Age, refer to the twelfth imam in the line of the noble household of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him and his family. Believers await his return as a righteous leader who, by God's permission, will fill the earth with justice after it has been filled with injustice, a hope reflected in countless supplications, ziyarat recitations, and daily du'a across the Shia world.
Markazi province, the central heart of the Iranian plateau, has long sustained villages of wheat fields, walnut orchards, and vineyards between Tehran, Qom, and Isfahan. Shazand itself grew rapidly through the twentieth century as a centre of petrochemical industry, drawing families from many provinces, and the mosques attached to cultural centres have become focal points for religious instruction, Muharram commemoration, and youth activities. The Prophet taught that every age has its rightful imam, and the patient anticipation expressed in naming a mosque for the awaited one roots the local congregation in a wider luminous hope.
Architecturally the building follows the quiet provincial Iranian style. Pale brick walls laid in traditional geometric patterns, a modest blue tiled dome, a single slender minaret, carved wooden doors, tall arched windows with coloured glass, and a small interior courtyard for ablutions welcome worshippers. Inside, patterned Persian carpets from nearby Arak and Tafresh cover the floor, calligraphic panels in Nastaliq cite supplications relating to the awaited imam, and a separate majlis hall hosts gatherings during Sha'ban and the sacred months.
Accurate daily prayer timings for Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha at Masjid Imam Zaman appear on this page along with the Shazand address, a map pin, and hospitable notes for any visitor arriving from Arak, the Qom highway, or the mountain road toward Borujerd. During Ramadan the courtyard hosts shared iftars of ash e reshteh, saffron rice, kebab, and sweet zoolbia bamieh prepared by neighbours, and the night of the fifteenth of Sha'ban, remembered as the birthday of the awaited imam, fills the hall with soft recitation and the shared fragrance of rose water. Any traveller passing through the Iranian plateau between Qom and Isfahan is warmly welcomed to step within these quiet walls, to kneel upon the patterned carpets among the patient congregation, and to whisper a soft Allahumma ajjil farajah upon a hoped for dawn whose soft and still hidden light continues in every silent night to shelter every tired head upon a softly waiting Iranian pillow beneath the same long, patient, and quietly counting plateau stars.
