کے بارے میں

Elsewhere in the Shazand county of Iran's Markazi province, the Masjid Bab al Hawa'ij and Kanoon Farhangi Hazrat Ali Asghar honours, in its double name, two sacred figures among the martyrs of Karbala. Bab al Hawa'ij, meaning the door of needs, is a title applied in devotional literature to several of the noble descendants of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, through whom the faithful turn to God seeking the fulfilment of their needs. Hazrat Ali Asghar, the infant son of Imam Husayn, may God be pleased with him, is remembered with particular tenderness for his martyrdom as a suckling child on the plain of Karbala in 680 CE, an event that deepened the tragedy of that day and has moved generations of worshippers to tears. The attached kanoon farhangi, cultural foundation, organises educational, artistic, and sporting activities for the youth of the surrounding villages, complementing the mosque's devotional role. Shazand itself is a farming and industrial district within Markazi province, home to agricultural cooperatives producing grain, sugar beet, and fruits, and also to the Shazand oil refinery which supplies much of central Iran with petroleum products. Architecturally the mosque follows the traditional Iranian village idiom with brick walls, a recessed iwan sheltering the entrance, a modest dome, and a single minaret. Internal decoration features the characteristic Persian stucco and tile work, with passages from the Sahifa al Sajjadiyya and elegies for Ali Asghar inscribed around the mihrab. The five daily prayers are observed, Jumu'ah draws the neighbourhood, and the blessed month of Ramadan fills the mosque each night with devotional exercises. During Muharram the mosque becomes the focal point of commemorative majlis recalling the infant martyr and the suffering of the Prophet's household, with processions, recitations, and charitable distributions of food to the poor. The cultural centre offers Quran classes, Arabic language courses, and camps for children and youths that combine spiritual formation with recreation and friendship. Travellers to Markazi province are welcomed warmly at this heart of rural Iranian devotion. Iranian aunties distribute trays of sweetened saffron rice pudding to children after commemorative gatherings, a tender detail woven into every Muharram memory formed in this complex.
