کے بارے میں
Masjid Taman Tampoi Indah is a neighbourhood mosque serving the planned residential estate of Taman Tampoi Indah within the Skudai area of Johor Bahru. Tampoi Indah developed during the rapid suburban expansion of the late twentieth century as Johor Bahru spread outward from its colonial core, and today it houses a mixed community of Malay Muslim families alongside Chinese and Indian neighbours, making the mosque an anchor point for its Muslim population. The building is of contemporary Malaysian design, featuring a central dome in traditional green hues, white plastered walls, arched windows filled with frosted glass for cool diffused light, and a slender minaret from which the muadhin calls the adhan five times daily. A generous forecourt paved in interlocking brick allows worshippers to arrive by car or motorcycle without congesting the surrounding residential streets, and covered walkways shield those on foot from the frequent tropical rains. The interior prayer hall is spacious, carpeted in rich green, and oriented precisely toward the qibla with straight saf lines etched into the carpet pattern. A beautifully inscribed mihrab and a wooden mimbar anchor the front of the hall, and chandelier lighting creates a dignified ambience during the Maghrib and Isha prayers. Ablution facilities are built to a high standard, with separate sections for men and women. The mosque committee works closely with local authorities to provide a full calendar of religious services, including weekly Friday khutbah in Malay, Qur'an recitation classes for children each afternoon, weekly tazkirah lectures after Maghrib on selected evenings, marriage solemnisation, funeral rites, and zakat collection during the month of Ramadan. Community iftars draw large crowds in Ramadan, and tarawih prayers bring the mosque to life each night, while the Eid prayers fill both hall and courtyard with families celebrating together in a vibrant expression of Tampoi Indah's warm Muslim identity. The mosque committee works closely with local schools to offer Qur'an memorisation programmes for pupils from Taman Tampoi Indah and nearby estates, encouraging young huffaz to develop their recitation through regular practice in the prayer hall, and these students often lead the tarawih prayers during Ramadan to the delight of parents and congregation alike, carrying forward the Malaysian tradition of raising each generation of children with the noble Qur'an firmly planted in their hearts as a lifelong companion and source of guidance.
